Foundations Flow With The Mighty Caesar

Come play with The Mighty Caesar, and expand your AcroYoga practice. In this ongoing weekly class held on Thursday Nights at Irene Warehouse in Brunswick. We will focus on body awareness, our creative learning process, communication, and partner acrobatics foundations.

Bring a partner, or come solo and make new friends on the night. Everyone is welcome! This is a safe space to come and learn new skills in an open and supportive environment. The practice is focused towards our own individual learning no matter what skill level we may possess. Meeting and connecting with our partners to better understand and communicate, allowing the natural flow to deepen.

Putting together the essential components and poses that makes up AcroYoga, classes will cover the fundamentals of spotting, flying, and basing. This will help you to find connection and balance within your own practice. We use creative flow, obstacles and the learning process to play and explore all the possibilities of what our minds and bodies are capable of.

Each class will have balance poses, flows, transitions, and washing machines. These are fundamental tool to strengthen your acrobatic practice. Material you can take home and use as a flow to warm up with, as a connection builder with new partners, or just to play and explore with.

Thursday night classes will leave you with a deeper understanding of your practice within, as well as with your partner. And give you the skills to be able to further your own knowledge through self-discovery and play. Breaking down each skill,you will learn the different positions and feelings one can look for.Come learn more about your self and the secrets AcroYoga has to offer.

The Flier

  • Will learn to feel where their body is in space
  • How to move comfortably with their base
  • Create and hold their body tension, learning new shapes
  • Listen to what is being asked of them in time and space
  • Learn to ask for what they need

The Base

Will come away with a better understanding of;

  • How to be the ground
  • How to hold space for their fliers, for them to move into
  • A sense of allowing the weight to flow through their skeleton
  • Maintaining the integrity of their shape
  • Listening to where their flier is and how to ask them to move into ease
  • Listen to what the flier is asking for, and how to translate that into their bodies

Together the partnerships will learn how to comfortably move in and out of poses, exploring safe falling,and how to better look after each other.

If you are a solo base or flier,have no fear, come along as there is always plenty of people in the class to partner with.
